For the tag I chose a French theme as well.
All the the pretty graphics I have used for the bag and the tag were provided by The Graphics Fairy.
Our sweet Cecil had gotten old and we had the feeling that he would leave us this year. However, it was still unexpected when we found him on Thursday morning, fallen asleep forever. We got Cecil four and a half years ago. He had been a starving stray cat with a very bad ear infection. We nursed him back to health and decided to keep him. He was a quiet cat with a very likable character. He had a cute voice and sounded more like a kitten than a full-grown cat but he didn’t talk a lot. Cecil was pretty cuddly and enjoyed sitting on our laps. He loved food and always followed us in the kitchen to see if there would be a meal or at least a treat for him.
During the last months he had spent every pleasant day outside, resting or sleeping in the grass or on a chair. When we walked through the garden, he followed us.
This was the last picture I took of Cecil about three weeks ago. He was curious and sniffed on a baby turtle that had shown up in the garden. Don’t worry! Nothing happened to the tiny turtle. As long as we knew him, Cecil had never been fond of hunting or catching anything. He was always calm, very relaxed and preferred his food served bite-sized in a bowl .
Goodbye, sweet Cecil. We are very sad but also grateful that you shared your last years with us and brought us so much joy. You were a wonderful companion and enriched our life. We will deeply miss you ♥.
